Exporting your Scholarly profile as a CV

Faculty can export their Scholarly profile at any time for personal use, documentation, or external sharing—depending on the format their institution has enabled.

📎 Exporting as a Word Document (CV Format)

If your institution has configured a CV template within Scholarly, you’ll have access to a “Download as Word Document” option. This generates a CV that follows your university’s approved format and includes the sections of your Scholarly profile.

To export as a Word document:

  1. Go to your profile via the left-hand sidebar.

  2. Click the “Download CV” button in the top-right corner.

  3. Select “Download as Word” from the dropdown.

📌 Note: If you do not see the Word export option, your institution may not yet have a CV template configured.

📶 Exporting as an Excel File

If configured for your institution, you’ll also have access to a “Download as Excel file” option. This is a great way to retain your data or share it in a structured format.

To export as Excel:

  1. Navigate to your Scholarly profile.

  2. Click the “Download CV” button in the top-right corner.

  3. Select “Download as Excel.”

The Excel file includes all profile data across tabs and can be used for personal records or offline review.

⬇️ Customizing Your Downloaded Files

  • Word CVs can be edited after export to suit specific uses (e.g., job applications, biosketches).

  • Excel exports provide a raw data format for sorting, filtering, or analysis.

🛑 Reminder: Changes made in exported files will not sync back to Scholarly. To keep your profile up to date, make edits directly within the platform.
