Using the Faculty Directory

The Faculty Directory provides a roster of colleagues at your institution. It allows you to search for faculty members and view limited profile information that’s been designated as shareable by your institution.

Accessing the Directory

You can access the Faculty Directory at any time by clicking “Directory” in the left-hand sidebar.

You’ll see a list of organizational units—such as departments, schools, or programs—depending on how your institution is structured. Use the “View” button next to each unit to browse faculty within that group.

📌 Note: Each institution configures the organizational structure in Scholarly based on their own internal hierarchy. You may see departments, schools, divisions, or other units reflected in the Directory layout.

Viewing a Faculty Member’s Profile

Clicking “View” next to a faculty member’s name opens a limited version of their profile. This version typically includes:

  • Contact information

  • Current appointments

  • Educational background

📌 Note: The exact information shown is determined by your institution and may vary.

Previewing What Others See About You

Want to see how your profile appears to colleagues? Use the search bar at the top of the Directory to search for your own name. This will show you the limited version of your profile that’s visible to other faculty.

Searching for Faculty

You can use the search bar on any page to quickly look up faculty by name. This is helpful for finding collaborators, viewing departmental colleagues, or exploring cross-campus profiles.
